Immigrant Heritage Month: Tracing Our Roots and Routes
Immigrant Heritage Month: Tracing Our Roots and Routes
Celebrate Immigrant Heritage Month with K–5 resources that uplift the rich, resilient stories of Asian American immigrants who have helped shape the U.S.—then and now. From Chinese railroad workers and Filipino farm laborers to Bengali peddlers and Japanese, Korean, and South Asian agricultural workers, these age-appropriate lessons invite families to explore histories of migration, labor, community, and identity together. Designed for kids and their parents, this collection helps young learners reflect on how generations of Asian American immigrants navigated hardship, preserved their heritage, and reimagined belonging in America.
